Dreadlock Shampoo

Dread Maintenance

Whats up everyone! Jus started my dreadlock journey exactly one week ago using the tnr method. I have filipino bone str8, thin hair. So far, most of the tnr sections had slipped out and now doin their own thing. I've had a couple washes so far using DB's tea tree but unfortunately the water in my area is super hard and leaves a filmy residue even after super diluting it. I am soon gonna order from dreadlockshampoo.com but have a fresh new bottle ofshampoo called Avalon Organics. Has any used it? and is it safe on baby dreads? the ingredients listed are:

Hemp String?

Dread Maintenance

thank you for all the info, but i was asking specifically about sectioning and tieing the base of the dread and roots like how some people use rubberbands to section. I don't like the rubberband idea so I thought string would be better? Andwould the hair dread naturally if I left thehair alone but sectioned at the base with string?

Hemp String?

Dread Maintenance

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone has used hemp string or any other kind of string to either start dreads for sectioning roots or to maintain roots? Would it be possible to section hair with string and let dreads to form naturally without tnr? And then as roots grow out, retie the roots to train new growth into formed dreads? I
